Gemmological Laboratory Reports
GAAJ-ZENHOKYO issues thousands of standard gemmological reports each month for both diamonds and coloured gemstones. The types of analysis performed include the determination of natural and synthetic gem coloured stones authenticity, the use of heat treatment as well as fissure filling disclosure. The lab also specialises in the analysis of "Geographic Origin" determination of corundum and emeralds.
 

To cater to clients throughout Europe and greater Asia, the reports are also available in English and are based on Laboratory Manual Harmonisation Committee (LMHC) standard nomenclature. This is the first time such a service is being offered by a Japanese laboratory.
 

Most coloured gemstone reports are issued within five working days from the arrival of the gemstones at the lab. Basic gem identification, diamond and pearl reports are issued within three to five working days from the arrival of the stones at the lab. If circumstances require a more lengthy assessment, the turnaround time may be extended.  The following Gemmological Laboratory Reports can be ordered online:
